Quarantine😷

COVID19 is taking a toll on everybody these days. Most schools and businesses, if not all, are closed. Some schools are unable to provide online learning resources. Many aren’t getting enough exercise, others are binge eating, and pretty much everybody is bored. Here are a few solutions to all of the above issues: 1. Create a schedule✏️ – Although it may be difficult to sit in one spot and do schoolwork for six hours straight, allow yourself two hours at the very least to work on what’s important, don’t lose sight of it. Include a time for food as well, fill up all your space so there isn’t any room left for you to tiptoe your way down to the kitchen, plus, you can save food this way. Find a few hobbies you enjoy and list them as well. Include some workouts on that schedule while you’re at it! 2. Think of quarantine as a blessing in disguiseπŸ‘Ό – This time should not be used for one to mope aimlessly around the house all day! You can work on a business, (I am planning my stuff out) learn a new language ( I speak one other language, but now, I am learning how to write in it, it has completely different characters, so this extra time is good for me in order to really focus, I am also trying to improve what little I understand of a third language). If you’ve had a goal, this free time is perfect to dedicate some effort to that goal of yours. Many are staying at home, which I recommend; this means saving money on things like gas or if you pay for a parking space everyday! 3. What if I don’t know what to do at all?!🀭 – You can create a busy box! This kit is completely customizable, you can also purchase a subscription box. Give yourself thirty minutes to an hour minimum, and think about yourself! Don’t include things like (I don’t have a great example of what I’m talking about) lotion, this you can use, yes, but will it keep you busy? No. Include things like books, sewing prompts, a journal, craft supplies and craft ideas, a deck of cards, a board game, and maybe me of those “things to do when you’re bored jars” which are filled with prompts you can make, or search online to print ( if you don’t have a printer that is working at the moment, you’re not alone – ahem, yours truly). I’m totally planning on making one, or maybe a few, of these soon, I’ll keep anybody interested updated with photos soon!πŸ€— Remember all that gas money you’re saving? Maybe you can use some of that to buy supplies for a kit for yourselfπŸ˜›. PS: I totally recommend anybody to try baking, it’s super fun, I’ve made a few things already. Fav Snacks

Do I have a favorite snack at the moment? Yep, I have three!

The first snack on this list is coconut chips. At first, I had no idea what to expect! But I tried one, and it was delicious! I have tried two flavors, and personally, I feel they are very close in flavor and both equally delicious, but if I were just to snack, I would go for the green one (original flavor) because the other one is the yummy salted caramel. So, I could eat more original because it’s not as sweet.

DANG COCONUT CHIPS
(May not be available at your local grocery store – Can purchase online at dangfoods.com or amazon.com)

Next on my list, I have listed Balconi mini cakes. They come in a wide variety of flavors and I have tried four: strawberry, tiramisu, chocolate, and β€œMix Milk”. My favorite flavor is definitely strawberry πŸ“. My next favorite is β€œMix Milk”.

BALCONI MINI CAKES
(Might not find at local grocery store – can purchase at balconidolciaria.com or amazon.com)

Last, but most absolutely not least on my Fav Snacks List is Lay’s Kettle Cooked Sea Salt and Vinegar chips. These are a classic and you have probably tried them before. They’re a delicious flavor combination, and I love them😍!

LAY’S KETTLE COOKED SEA SALT AND VINEGAR CHIPS
(Most likely available at local grocery store or amazon.com)
This image was found on the amazon.com site and I take no credit for it

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read today’s post! Hopefully if you try my top three out, you’ll find them as delicious as I do!

10 AWESOME STUDENT TIPS

If you feel disorganized or that you could at least do better when it comes to school, here are some tips:

1. Make sure your binders are tailored to your needs, personally, the one binder that I always take home every night, my “essentials binder” has one folder for each of my subjects, this helps keeps my homework very organized so that I know what to do each night.

2. Keep a planner! When I first got mine, I focused too much on trying to make it cute and pretty with doodles and such, and it became a chore, so I stopped using it. A little while ago, I dug it up and it’s really been helping me! I write down my top priorities for every night, with little bubbles next to them so that I can check them off once I’ve finished. It’s very self-rewarding knowing that you’ve completed all or most of your goals and tasks. I keep it neat without making myself frustrated with extra things I don’t want to do.

3. School is a place that literally exists to help you learn! If you’re confused about something, ask! You can do this during class when there’s time, or ask a teacher for help privately. Otherwise, you’ll fall behind, so ask once, instead of having to ask about everything later.

4. Instead of trying to find time to socialize in school, pick one day of every week where you can hangout with friends, this leaves time to get all of your homework done, and you get some fun!

5. Take advantage of breaks/ vacations, you can catch up on schoolwork, get all your energy out, and spend time with your buds, it’s easy to get off track if the people around you don’t care about their education, school isn’t right for everyone, so many CEOs are dropouts! However, that’s a very small percentage, so if you’re doing good in school, don’t change that just to do what somebody else wants.

6. If you have a hobby, or want to work on something, don’t stop! School is very important for many, but leave time for what you want to do, if you like crafting, making music, or baking, find the time for it☺️.

7. Don’t go through each day waiting for the weekend, it’ll go by very slowly, live in the present and it’ll make you happier!

8. Speaking of being happier, stop caring about what others think, I mean, honestly, it may not feel good at moments, but what are their opinions going to do to you? The only things that affect you are what you let affect you, be confident, hold your head up high, and respect yourself✊. When people see this, they want to hang around you and they will respect you.

9. Dress for success. If you wear what you really want to wear, you’ll get a burst of confidence, test it out for yourself, if you don’t believe me! Go to school in your sleepwear and another day, dress like you own the place, your PJs might be more comfortable, but you’ll be more alert and feel better about yourself wearing what you like.

10. Get your beauty sleep and drink water! I know it’s easier to binge-watch Netflix and Hulu all night, but getting a good snooze will give your skin a healthier appearance, you’ll be less moody, and you’ll be healthier! This goes for water as well, instead of reaching for your usual lemonade, or seltzer, grab a glass and fill it up with that healthy, healthy waterπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹!

Thanks for checking in everybody! I might make a part two of this, it was pretty fun, and I’ve got a few more ideas up in my imaginative mindπŸ€ͺ

2045

As humans inhabiting the earth, we have to do something, we have to. We won’t survive otherwise. This earth was given to us to take care of. We have to try, or we’ll all just be another new group of fossils for the earth’s next species to study in 2045.πŸ˜”

Autumn!

β™₯β™₯β™₯β™₯

I am really excited for Fall’s arrival! Just picture yourself in your coziest sweater and sweatpants, (without sweating) holding a warm mug filled with apple cider, by a bonfire. All while listening to songs that excite you, singing along with your friends and family! The cozy smell of the fire, maybe you have some Fall fragrance on you, I am obsessed with the Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte scent they now have at Bath and Body Works, and I love the song: DerniΓ¨re Danse by Indila. This song was introduced to our class by our French teacher, and even though I can’t understand what she’s saying, minus what I remember from looking up the lyrics, The tone of the song is fantastic!! (I listen to it nonstop!) I am ready to smell like cinnamon everyday, and to be very cozy!!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

What’s your favorite season? Although I love Fall, Summer has to be it.

Halloween Party

Happy Halloween everyone! Tomorrow is Halloween and if you’re planning a party look no further! Here are a few great ideas!

1. What’s in the Bowl?

Grab four bowls. You can put anything in them and give all the ingredients spooky Halloween names like frog eyes (grapes) witch’s fingernails (pistachio shells) Newt’s tails (shredded gum) vampire guts ( diced pineapple). You can change the names and ingredients to your liking! Each party guest will stick their hand in and guess what it is. You first tell them the spooky name. Make sure to keep track of who guesses what because at the end you will see who got the most right. You can give them a skull trophy, Halloween erasers, spooky pencils etc; as a prize.

2. Classic Movie!

Obviously this is very self-explanatory. Pick a classic such as Hocus Pocus or Halloweentown and watch it!

3. Trivia to Win

This is not very Halloween themed but it is very fun! Get any small thing such as erasers, pencils, book lights, a loofah, any GAG gifts πŸ™‚ . Wrap them up and place them on the ground. Get any trivia cards or make your own. link to trivia cards   link to more trivia cards  Have them answer but time them for 10 seconds. If they don’t get it in ten seconds, they have to wait until next round to try a different card. If they get it right, they choose a wrapped gift from the pile. Everyone should end up with one gift. The first player is allowed to unwrap and then look at their gift. Then they decide whether they should trade with a person who has  already opened a gift or if they should keep their gift. Then, the next person takes a turn. He or she repeats the same steps as the person before them. This time, like before, they decide between trading with anyone before them or keeping their gift. After the last person has gone, the first player goes again. They go again because since no one opened a gift before them, they never got an oppurtunity to trade. This option gives them that chance.

4. Clementine Pumpkin

All you have to do is take a few sharpies the color of your choice and have fun decorating your clementine like it was a pumpkin!

10 awesome last minute costumes!

Hey everyone, thanks for coming! Today I will be giving you 10 WICKED AWESOME  last minute Halloween costumes! Without further ado, let’s get started! πŸ™‚

  1. When life gives you lemons; Grab a white shirt, a black permanent OR washable marker, and a few lemons from your refrigerator. First decide if you would like it to be PERMANENT. If this is a favorite shirt of yours, use  a washable marker. Take your marker of choice and write LIFE on your shirt. Grab those lemons and you’re ready to head out! Have fun trick or treating!  Image
  2. Wait! Don’t ruin that shirt yet. Cupcake; You can be a cupcake! Hold on to that white shirt from earlier, get a few colorful markers, a beige skirt, shorts, or pants, a red balloon, and lastly, a pair of scissors. First grab your scissors and cut a curvy line on the bottom of your shirt. It should look like the letter u repeated over and over. Next, take your colorful markers and draw lots of lines on the shirt, these represent sprinkles. Glue the red balloon to a headband. This is your cherry. put on your beige bottoms, cupcake top, and then slide on your cherry. Have a SWEET time!
  3. Angel and devil; This one is for you and a buddy, or you could choose one for yourself. What you will need: white shirt, black shirt, two headbands, and a few yellow and red pipe cleaners. First, choose who you will be. Angel: Put on the white shirt. Grab your headband and attach two yellow pipe cleaners so  they stick straight up. Bend the top of them, Make a circle with another pipe cleaner and put it in the folds. slide your halo on! Devil: Put on your black shirt. Grab a few red pipe cleaners. Make two triangles with them, use another pipe cleaner and make a loop through both triangles and the headband. This should attach securely to the headband. these are your devil horns. Now you and a friend can go trick or treating in a twin costume set! Image For a slightly different but more detailed video, click here: Video
  4.  Bank robber; All you need is a striped black and white shirt, a black permanent maker, a white trash bag/ shopping bag, and a black mask click here to learn how to make the mask: Video. Put on the striped shirt. Grab your black marker and draw a dollar sign on your plastic bag. slip on your mask and you’re done!  Image
  5. Error costume not found; All you will be needing for this costume is a black marker and a white shirt. This is very simple, all you have to write is Error 404 Costume not found. Pretty simple, right? πŸ˜‰ Image
  6. The next costume is a cool Glow in the dark stick figure;. All you will need are black pants and a black shirt, and glow sticks. attach the glow sticks so they look like a stick figure on your clothes. You’re done! Image If you need a little more explanation though, click here: Video
  7. Twister board game; This is a fun take on the classic twister board game. Now, you can actually do this two ways! first what you will need is a white top and a matching bottom. Here comes the choosing part. Felt or paper? You may want to save this costume and use it more than once, or you may want to keep the clothes. In any case the steps are the same. Cut out colorful circles with felt or paper and glue them to your shirt. You can also use a strong tape if you don’t want to ruin your clothes. You can carry the game around with you if you don’t want to keep explaining what you’re supposed to be. πŸ˜‰
  8. Minion; All you’ll need are a yellow hoodie, blue overalls, and a pair of circular goggles. Need your own goggles?: Video Put everything on and you’re good to go. πŸ™‚ Image
  9. Mime; All you will need for this one are black pants, a striped shirt, black suspenders, white face paint (optional), white gloves (optional), and black eyeliner. Slip on the clothes, put on the gloves, cover your face in white, and then do a triangle with the eyeliner under each eye. You can also make a sign that says trick or treat if you really want to act it out without saying anything! πŸ™‚  Image
  10. Lastly, we have the classic. The ghost; If you’re feeling simple, that’s fine! Grab a white sheet and cut two holes in it for the eyes. That’s it! Image

Thanks for tuning in! I worked really hard on this post and appreciate it! πŸ™‚ Have a wonderful day!
